ZooGroom Russia Professional Grooming Competition ― an event designed by groomers for groomers!

ZooGroom Russia is a grooming competition with a difference, hosted in partnership with the European Grooming Association, a gathering of groomers who enjoy mastering their skills and networking with industry peers, conducted within Zoo Russia Profession Exhibition. All groomers are encouraged to compete despite the level of skill. ZooGroom Russia is an annual competition and the excitement is raising in anticipation an even greater 2011 event, strategically packed with hands-on demonstrations, master classes and workshop and variety of trade stands of grooming industry suppliers. Umberto Lehmann

Umberto opened his first grooming salon in Milano 1980. In 1985 he started his Grooming School getting more than 150 students. From 1985 to 2001, he won several gold and silver medals in USA, Europe, Canada in Poodle, Handstripping, Scissoring, Spaniels. From 1989 to 2008 Umberto judged in more than 55 International Grooming Competitions and gave grooming demonstrations in 60 seminars all over the world. He judged three World Team Championships, three Oster Tournament. He's Oster Ambassador, President of the European Grooming Association, President of the Italian Grooming Association. He won the Cardinal Crystal Grooming Achievement Award in 1987 as "International Groomer of the year".


Susan ZeccoSusan Zecco
Judge (All Round)

Sue is a Certified Master Groomer with both the National Dog Groomers Association (NDGAA) and the International Professional Groomers (IPG). She has been grooming for over 30 years, starting her business the Pampered Pet in Paxton MA in 1977. She began grooming competitions in 1985 and since then has won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at Intergroom, multiple Best in Show, Best All Around Groomer, Best Scissored Dog, Best Groomed Poodle , and her biggest show accomplishments, International Groomer of the Year 1998, and 1999's Oster Invitational Tournaments Grand Champion. Sue is also the very proud recipient of the 1998 and 2000 Cardinal Crystal Achievement Award for Groomer of the Year, and the 2002 Cardinal Award for Grooming Contest Judge of the year, along with the 2004 & 2005 Cardinal Award for Congeniality. Sue has been a member of GroomTeam USA since 1997, and broke all records in 1999 earning more points than anyone in past years at 113. She participated in the 1999 World Team Championships in England, earning a Silver medal for the team. She was also part of the 2001 World Team Championships in Calgary Canada, helping the USA bring home the Gold. In 2003 she assisted GroomTeam USA to Barcelona Spain for the World Championships as the GroomTeam Coordinator. Sue co-coordinates the Celebration of Style Grooming competition for H.H.Backer Associates. She is also a Wahl Clipper Corporation spokesperson. She is a National and International judge, speaker and demonstrator, having traveled to great places like Italy, Ireland, Spain, Germany, England, Scotland, Argentina, and Canada. Sue's most recent endeavor is a series of full day seminars she conducts with Jay Scruggs called Super Styling Sessions. A fun learning experience for all groomers, held at different locations throughout the country. Sue, her husband Ray and their 20 year old son Christopher breed standard poodles under the "Dreamcatcher" prefix. They currently have 7 standards, a Bedlington terrier, an Arabian horse, and two cats.


Eve RaisonEve Raison

At the age of 8, Eve already began with the grooming of her poodles. On her 17th she started an education as dog groomer in the school of her father in Annecy. During the first 3 years after her education she managed one of her parents grooming salons and she then left for Paris to begin her own grooming salon. In the meantime her business has grown to one with an excellent reputation. When Eve is not busy in her grooming salon, she judges numerous national en international grooming competitions. She has won a lot of trophies during her entire carrier like 20 gold medals, 14 silver ones and 9 bronze medals. Last year she also won a gold medal with her American Cocker during the Oster Trophy in Milan.

Judge (Poodle)

Roman's career began 23 years ago with the advent of his house first poodle. Education - teacher of drawing, Roman realized himself as an artist - groomer. His style of work characterized by an individual creative approach. In 2000, Roman founded a student program for grooming. He found simple answers to complex questions of balance, proportion and technology of scissors. To date, his program produced a huge number of students in different cities of Russia, China and foreign countries. Roman achieved a high level as a professional groomer and handler. His name is associated winning at dog shows of the highest rank. Roman began to take part in grooming competitions since 1999. The start was a victory for the first grooming competition in Russia. In 2000 Roman was a finalist at the most prestigious grooming championships: Oster Tournament Championship, which took place in Berlin, as well as the Milan Groom, held in Italy. In 2002 Roman won the silver medal of the international grooming competition Intergroom, held in the U.S. state of New - Jersey. And in 2003, Roman was invited to Intergroom already an expert. Today Roman is one of the famous professional groomer for grooming different breeds, the owner of a professional grooming schools, organization master classes and seminars.


Elena LevinaElena Levina
Judge (Handstripping)

Work as a groomer since 1988. During her work won the title of a professional groomer, both in Russia and abroad. In 1997, for the first time participated at the groomer competition in Russia in the Handstrippings category with fox terriers. In 1998 she won Best in Show at the competition groomer in Moscow. In 1999, in Berlin on the Oster Tournament Championship won the silver medal. In 2001 in Milan won Best in Show at the grooming competition Milan Groom and also won the silver medal Oster Tournament Championship. In 2011 at the International Grooming Competition ZooGroom, held in the Zoo Russia exhibition in Moscow, won Best in Show. Today, Elena is preparing the Show grooming for the following breeds: Poodle, Fox Terrier, Welsh Terrier, Airedale, Irish Terrier, German Jagdterrier, Border Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Parson Russell Terrier, Lakeland Terrier, Norfolk Terrier Norwich Terrier, Basset Griffon Vendee, Belgium and Brussels Griffon, Datschhund, Spitz. Elena is owner a grooming business, personal grooming and handling school. Organizer of grooming the master - classes and seminars.


Natalia PecherkinaNatalia Pecherkina
Judge (Purebred Scissoring)

The owner of the famous of the World Kennel Kerry Blue Terrier Avalanche Eire-Kerry, founded in 1997. Together with her husband, Andrei, Natalie shows her dogs since 1983. She is famous in Russia and abroad as a successful breeder, groomer, handler and judge as dog shows and grooming competitions. The style of grooming her favorite breed – harmony and perfectly proportioned Kerry blue Terrier. Natalia has a title of Best groomer of the year 1999 the United States (Boston), "Best International groomer 1999" (France).
